12:19 am - god, I am a dork
On SEVERAL separate occasions, I have found myself sitting in Cool Beans, feeling unhappy because I am out of trig homework.

And I don't even like that class. I think it's because trig homework, well, it's this thing that you can do it, and get through it, and be done, and have accomplished something. It's all such a simple, linear process. That's sort of refreshing when you're used to everything in life being insanely complex.

Still, though... being sad when you're out of math homework just seems weird.

I'm so jealous. I wish I had homework. Fall semester I will be enrolled in at least a couple of classes, so help me.

Nice bebeh face btw. Lovin' the eyebrow.

Well, umm, "weird" seems a bit of an understatement... but I can understand the reference to insane complexity. ;)

I actually felt that way about all my language homework in college, but it was the same feeling about accomplishment. I liked the "busy work" because there was a sense of being finished, whereas everything else I had to do in college didn't really have a "finished" point. The problem with being a liberal arts major.

The other problem being trying to convince a boss that "liberal arts" is a good major to employ.

well, my degree isn't in "liberal arts" it's in political science, and it's just fine if you actually want to work in politics.

K. I've actually heard of "liberal arts" majors before, though, and those are pretty unemployable. You might as well be majoring in indecision, for all it tells an employer!

If it seems weird, that's because it IS weird.

Just as long as you dont end up running the projector in class.

We all go through these nerdy phases at one point or another, and as long as you only go through one phase at a time you'll be fine.

:)

I've never really had that feeling about homework. I end up doing enough work from home as it is now though... damnit I need to go back to school someday. At least then I'd get the feeling I was doing it for self betterment instead of self preservation.
