10:25 pm - ENGLISH, MOTHERFUCKER, DO YOU SPEAK IT?
Today's stupid link of the day is the Star Estimator, which purports to analyze a face shot you submit to it and tell you what movie stars you most resemble. (Thanks herbaliser.) My results?

I'm not quite sure to think about that, but I'm pretty fucking sure I'm highly amused.

Welles with Rita Hayworth:

Hmmm. Actually, the nose looks about right, REALLY close if I'm not just seeing an artifact of the angle of the pic. But the rest of the face looks dead wrong.

Unrelated: I wish Hollywood would start casting girls that look like Rita Hayworth again. :(

Well, there's Charlize Theron. She has an old movie star aura about her.

Yeah, Charlize kinda does, but... as Laura linked earlier, well, damn!

Hmm, so this one shows a little bit more of a resemblance (and yeah I did notice the nose but it's still not as cute as yours, aww):

Those lips are just so pouty, and young Orson has got such a baby face; that throws me off.

Um... I apologize for spamming your LJ with pics of Orson Welles. To make it up to you, more Rita.

Hmm, yeah, forgot about the chipmunk cheeks. Still though, moustache.

Telling you.

Yeah, that is kinda not so much. I was thinking the nose, the hairline, the molester moustache.

Go rent Citizen Kane. With the photography, coupled with Welles' OldSkul Nascartographer moustache, I think he looked just like Jimbo. Maybe aged up a little, but still damn similar.

Actually they did a pretty good job with face and eyes, but apparently the analysis routine can't tell the difference between a turned-up nose and an aquiline one; it just matches overall (apparent) length.

Interesting...
