1. The new "Mixed Berry 7-Up Plus" tastes surprisingly, and quite digustingly, like the juice from a Glade Plug-In smells
2. Allowing the elusive wild PeeT to roam free and unsupervised in one's domicile seems inevitably to lead to property defacement
3. I got my online application to USC for Spring Semester '05 done... holy shit, I'm finally going to college. Hooray?

And I thought you had already been to college?
::sad smile:: most folks do. except the ones who don't know ME but DO know I haven't been to college, who assume things about me that don't really fit.
I've got roughly the equivalent of an Associate's in Nuclear Engineering as the result of completing Naval Nuclear Power School - verifiably enough, since as I recall there were a couple of colleges that would just fork over an AS in that major for $500 and an English 101 CLEP test - and what I would estimate (but can't back up) as roughly the equivalent of another AS in electronic engineering in the form of Nuclear Field Electronics Technician A School and the continued training in that field (and others) at the reactor prototype in Goose Creek.
Also, of course, the results of my own inclinations toward learning... whatever I feel the need / desire to learn. But no, no actual college credits whatsoever. I thought the Navy was going to pay my way through college, but what it actually did was get me accustomed to living as an adult with adult bills that needed a full time income to pay, so... yeah.
It looks like I may not be entirely out of the woods yet as far as getting accepted to USC for spring semester, either - the college board doesn't want to do anything about giving out my old results from the SAT's, and the nearest SAT retake date is Dec 4th, with credentials due on the desk at the registrar's at USC no later than noon on Jan 7th. I THINK that's enough time, with no fucking room for error, to get the results from a retest on Dec 4th... sigh. We'll see.

Best of luck, then. Are you cramming yet?
I'd like to go back one day and finish up as well, but I think I destroyed most of my brain. My college has a few of their placement exams online, and for the life of me I can't answer any of the math questions
that got me in back in the day.
