Okay, I know I'm totally late to the ballgame with this, but if you haven't seen it already, I think you should check out What is it?  It's a community apology from individual Americans to the rest of the world, for not managing to keep the warmonger out of another four years worth of presidency.  The way it works is, people take pictures of themselves holding signs with apologies on them, and post them to the site.

There are almost 2,000 pictures there right now.

You know what the most touching thing to me was?  If you look through the pictures, every now and again you'll see one like this one or this one, where somebody from Canada or Finland or Korea or god only knows where has posted their own image forgiving us and/or thanking us for the apology.

It's really easy to write this off as meaningless, but I'm not so sure it is.  I think it might be the presage of something INCREDIBLY important to see this fledgling dialog between random individual citizens of a country, who don't know each other, seeing each other as people instead of as part of a faceless mass.  If we could have managed more of this 20 years ago, we wouldn't be warring in Iraq or elsewhere right now.

hahaha, shit that pic cracked me up.

Anyway no, I hadn't seen it, but 1. it was inevitable and 2. fuck 'em - they've got something like 100 pics there, whereas AS I WATCHED last night went from 1800 to more than 2200, and still climbing.

Hahahaha, "homeland security" prevents cross-linking or even DIRECT linking to the images on that site. Tards. A friend and I spent like an hour linking each other to particularly cool pics from the site last night; guess the neocons can't do the same for each other since they need to be so "secure".

And this pic - among others, there's one of "Southern Mom" that you've GOT to see, on page 11 or 12 - still crack my shit up hard. =)
